MWD Field Engineer

Experience:

• Good knowledge of Measurement while Drilling applications.
• Noralis Experience preferred
• Good knowledge of drilling operations.
• Good communication and people skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assure company policies, procedures, and HSE standards are followed.
• Maintain MWD surface and downhole systems.
• Trouble shoot surface systems and down hole tools when problems occur.
• Certify surveys being acquired during the drilling process.
• Communicates daily with drilling consultant and directional coordinator.
• Produce accurate daily reports, SIR’s, survey reports, and Logs.
• Maintain equipment inventory on location as well as shipping and receiving equipment.
• Do JSA’s when picking up laying down BHA’s and rigging up and down.
• Attend pre tour safety meetings.
• Attend spud meetings, service interruption meetings, performance meetings when required.
• Complete end of well reports per company standard when job is complete.

Education:

• High school diploma with preferred college degree.

Safety Training:

• PEC Safeland/Safegulf.
• H2S when required.
• Customer specific training when required (Safety & Hazzard management).

Work Environment:

• At Rig site
